The country’s budding artists gathered at art gallery Warehouse421 today, to create artwork that expressed their love for the late Sheikh Zayed and the UAE, as the nation gears up to celebrate the nation’s official 47th UAE National Day December 2nd at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

With different age groups and nationalities participating at the event, the artist’s paintings were created over the course of the morning at the Mina Port-based art gallery. Forty-seven selected canvases will be displayed at the venue of the Official 47th UAE National Day Celebration under the title ‘This is Zayed, This is the UAE’.

Emily Mohammed, one of the participating artists who accompanied her three children, Abdullah, Rahma and Maimouna, said: “Our participation in this event reflects our pride of the UAE, its society and the safe and creative environment in which we live. Hence, we are trying as a family to show our love of the UAE and the late Sheikh Zayed, through our passion of art, painting and creativity.”

“The UAE has established the cultural values of diversity, acceptance, and tolerance, which is represented by attendance today at this event, where we see people who speak only the language of art.

Saif Abdulrahman Al Bannai, who attended with his sister Amna, expressed their happiness at this event, which gave them the opportunity to express their pride and love for the UAE and what it offered to its citizens and residents.

Amna Al Bannai said: “Words alone are not enough to express our love of the UAE.  It was my choice to create a painting that represents the appreciation which we hold towards this nation.”

The Official 47th UAE National Day Celebration will celebrate the past, the present and the future of the UAE, which we are all so proud to call home. The evening will feature magical digital lighting displays and thrilling music.
