The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi Concludes Successful Participation at Monaco Yacht Show
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) boosted the emirate’s global visibility as a world-class winter ‘super-yacht’ destination after a successful mission to participate in the Monaco Yacht Show, which took last month.
Bringing together buyers and suppliers for a three-day exhibition, the show saw more than 36,400 registered attendees, over 40 new builders, in what has become one of the most renowned yacht exhibitions across the world. The Abu Dhabi delegation included the Special Interest team along with Emirates Palace Marina and Yas Marina teams.
At the event, the Abu Dhabi delegation connected with yacht agents and leveraged business opportunities to position Abu Dhabi a key winter ‘super-yacht’ destination within their itineraries. In addition, the delegates also met with several yacht operators to encourage them to make Abu Dhabi their winter destination.
Saeed Abdulla Al Dhaheri, Special Interests Tourism Manager, at DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “Through our participation at the Monaco Yacht Show we were able to successfully network with our key suppliers and buyers across Europe and help establish Abu Dhabi a winter ‘super yacht’ destination of choice within their yachting itineraries. We look forward to next year’s show, where we continue to strengthen our relationship within the network and aim to position Abu Dhabi as a winter ‘super yacht’ destination of distinction.”
