Dubai Maritime City Authority celebrates tolerance, happiness and positivity during ‘UAE National Sports Day’
In line with the UAE government’s directive to celebrate National Sports Day with the theme, ‘Emirates brings us together,’ the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) successfully held its own sports day today (Thursday 07th March 2019) at the Michael Johnson Performance Athletic Development Centre in Dubai. The event was widely attended by DMCA employees, competing and taking part in recreational and sporting activities across an atmosphere of happiness and positivity.
During the event, Amer Ali, Executive Director, DMCA, revealed the maritime authority’s continuing commitment to support the UAE’s vision to make sports a part of the country’s daily culture and lifestyle. He added that participating in sporting activities is one of the best ways to improve the spirit, body and behaviour while also instilling the values of tolerance, harmony and camaraderie–which are all rooted in the fabric of UAE society.
“We are honored to be a part of this national event as it coincides with 2019 being named as the ‘Year of Tolerance,’ which represents an important cultural message from the UAE to the world.
