TUMI Travels to California for Spring 2018 TUMI launches its Spring/Summer 2018 California collection

The TUMI Spring 2018 travel collection celebrates California in all its glory. In honour of this, the brand brought the Golden State to Dubai’s elegant beachside bar- The Jetty Lounge, where the city’s finest could explore the new collection, get their pieces monogrammed, all the while overlooking the dazzling Dubai skyline.


With its wide variety of jaw-dropping landscapes and sun-kissed cities, capturing that famous laid-back vibe,  TUMI journeyed throughout California and, among the beaches, deserts, and vibrant cities, discovered incredible pockets of fashion, tech, art, design and music. With an exciting color palette and bold patterns, as well as pops of neon in unexpected places, Spring 2018 takes us on an exciting adventure and encourages us to grab our TUMI and discover the beauty for ourselves.


Building on its foundation of innovation, functionality and durable design, TUMI presents the next premium, hard-shell solution: Latitude. The lightest TUMI travel collection yet, the Latitude collection defies durability and engineering standards while pushing design boundaries.  Latitude will be offered in a range of carry-on and check-in sizes, which includes an International Carry-On, International Slim Carry-On, Worldwide Trip Packing Case, Short Trip Packing Case, and Extended Trip Packing Case, and will be offered in Black, Navy and Silver.

Also launching in Spring 2018 is the new TUMI Merge collection. When form and function come together, it’s as if each single touchpoint blends to create the cohesive design. The new TUMI Merge collection brings together the design DNA of TUMI and a lightweight, relaxed option for the next generation of TUMI consumers.  Other staples in the collection include TUMI’s 19 Degree Aluminum collection which will be introduced in a new seasonal color: Ivory Gold.

This season, TUMI, captures the imagination of intrepid individuals who seek both style and functionality for their lives on the move. By working with global influencer– Filmmaker, Ali F. Mostafa – TUMI has engaged its latest generation of inspiring individuals. The introduction of the new seasonal campaign coincides with the unveiling of the newly updated iconic Alpha Bravo collection. The refined Alpha Bravo collection features new styles and colors for a sleek, modern look, heightening the experience of global citizens on their personal journeys, while maintaining the defining military-inspired edge and key functionality the range is known for. It is reintroduced outfitted in black leather with stand-out gunmetal zipper highlights. Available in TUMI’s durable Ballistic Nylon, Anthracite and Leather, seasonal color pops of Green Camo and Grey/Citron span the collection and add excitement to the existing core color range.  New backpack, brief, and crossbody styles will also be introduced to offer versatile yet sophisticated additions to Alpha Bravo fans.

From the UAE, filmmaker & producer Ali F. Mostafa has long been recognized throughout his career for invaluable contributions to Emirati cinema. As one of the pioneers of the Emirati film industry, Ali F. Mostafa gained recognition for his directorial talent with UAE box office hit, City of Life. Named ‘Best Emirati Filmmaker’ at the 2009 Dubai International Film Festival and ‘2010 Young Filmmaker of the Year’ by Digital Studio magazine. Ali F. Mostafa’s latest feature, The Worthy premiered at the BFA London Film Festival and received a gala premiere at the Dubai Film Festival in 2016, opening to widespread critical acclaim.
