Akram Alami has been promoted to Senior Partner and is a core member of Bain’s global Energy, Aviation, and Sustainability practices. He leads the Aviation sector practice in the Middle East, where he oversees and serves clients on some of the region’s most significant aviation projects.
With nearly 20 years of consulting experience, Akram supports clients in corporate strategy, M&A, investment strategies, and operating models. Akram also leads Bain’s Utilities practice in the Middle East, where he is responsible for developing corporate strategies related to energy transition, internal performance enhancement, and decarbonization. Additionally, Akram spearheads Bain’s ESG initiatives in the region, advising CEOs, boards, state-owned enterprises, and governments on sustainability topics.
He earned his MBA from The London Business School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
Dr. Houssem Jemili, who has been promoted to senior partner, is a core member Bain’s Advanced Manufacturing and Services practice and leads Bain’s Digital & Innovation practice in the region. He brings 23 years of management consulting experience, and prior to that in the High-Tech Industry, across Europe and the Middle East.
He advises clients on Strategy, Performance Improvement, and Digital Transformation and Venture Building, with a focus on Real Estate & Construction, Travel & Logistics, and High Tech. He is also highly regarded for his work with public sector clients on economic development, particularly in leveraging digital technologies.
Dr. Jemili holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Technical University of Dresden, an M.Sc. in Computer Science with distinction from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, and a degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
Pauline Coquet has been promoted to partner and is a seasoned leader within Bain’s Retail practice, bringing nearly 15 years of management consulting experience across Europe and the Middle East.
Pauline has worked closely with senior executives and management teams for both local and international clients, focusing on strategic planning and implementation, customer experience, and digital transformation. Her extensive experience spans multiple retail sectors in the GCC region, including large mall operators, fashion and luxury companies, as well as grocery, restaurant businesses, and family businesses.
Beyond her client work, Pauline is an active representative of the Lead to Inspire initiatives as part of Women@Bain. She holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and Engineering Management.
Ahmed Bin Amir, who has been promoted to partner, is a key member of Bain’s Consumer Products and Retail practices, and has 15 years of strategy consulting experience across the EMEA region.
Ahmed specializes in strategy development, assisting leading consumer packaged goods, retail, and family businesses in capturing market opportunities. He has played a pivotal role in helping companies embark on accelerated performance transformation journeys, focusing on immediate profitability improvements and enhancing internal capabilities.
Ahmed earned his MBA from London Business School.
