Day one of the 28th edition of the region’s largest international trade fair for the beauty and wellness industry showcased a global offering of talent, insights, products and services. Beautyworld Middle East 2024 welcomed thousands of attendees through the Dubai World Trade Centre’s doors and was officially inaugurated by Her Excellency Hessa Bu Humaid, Minister of Community Development.

Next in Beauty Conference
The Next in Beauty Conference opened with an inspiring talk by Kelly Kovak, Founder of BeautyMatter, who revealed industry insights from the BeautyMatter Middle East Report 2024 including statistics highlighting the growth of the region and current trends.
Joelle Mardinian was the headline speaker at the Next in Beauty Conference explaining how she turned her passion for beauty into a business empire.
Later in the day, a panel of experts including Nora Tourky, Head of Marketing, Health and Beauty at Alshaya Group and Marina Mansour, Vice President of Beauty and Wellness at Kyra discussed the power of beauty brand collaborations, and the day’s final session focused on sustainability as a standard in the beauty world with Thomas Wuethrich, Head of Corporate Sustainability at LUZI AG and Jonathan Warr, a representative of IFRA, amongst other industry names.
Arabian Color Fiesta! Powered by Goldwell
The culmination of a vibrant competition between hair stylists from across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain was held at Beautyworld Middle East on day one, as the finalists battled it out for the coveted titles of Hair Colorist of the Year, Hair Cutter of the Year and New Talent of the Year.
Front Row by Nazih
In a dynamic lineup of live demonstrations, the Front Row by Nazih stage featured lit up the show with a mixture of hair and skincare exhibitions from brands including GHD, Guinot and American Crew.
Nail It! Competition by Nazih Group
The Nail It! stage opened its thrilling competition where creativity knows no limits, with contenders battling it out in categories including French gel polish manicure and freeform Nail Art. Judging and scoring was followed by an awards ceremony at the end of the show.
Fragrance
The much-loved Quintessence launched in its luxurious home for this year where the art of perfume and niche fragrances is celebrated featuring some of the world’s most unique brands and creators. Meanwhile, the Emovation Lab invited attendees to create their own personalised scents to resonate with their own personal feelings and memories, and the Signature Scent competition encouraged visitors to cast their vote as 15 international fragrance houses battle it out to create the signature scent of Beautyworld Middle East 2024.
Beauty Beginnings
Day one of Beautyworld Middle East 2024 marked the exciting debut of Beauty Beginnings in collaboration with International Luxury Brand Consultancy (ILBC) – an innovative showcase of hand-picked brands which are new to the MENA region across multiple categories. Notable brands taking part include Black Ants – a modern and innovative fragrance brand celebrating the timeless essence of the natural world; the distinctive South Korean perfume brand, Sisology; and the brand pioneering plant-based make up, Le Rouge Francais.

Day two is set to deliver an even more packed schedule of events including the Beauty World Middle East Awards 2024 which will take place on Tuesday 29 October at Conrad Hotel Dubai.
