DXB Set to Welcome 3.6 Million Passengers During Eid Holiday Peak

Dubai International (DXB) is preparing for a major travel surge during the Eid holiday season. More than 3.6 million passengers are expected to pass through its terminals between March 26 and April 7. The busiest day is set for April 5, with an estimated 309,000 travelers.

On average, DXB will handle 276,000 passengers daily, with peak volumes in early April. Departures during Eid week are projected to rise by 19% compared to last month’s weekly averages, signaling a strong seasonal increase.

DXB: Increased Travel Demand for Popular Destinations

Spring break and Eid holidays are driving high travel demand. Many passengers are flying to popular visiting friends and relatives (VFR) destinations, including India, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, there is a rise in leisure travel to countries such as Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Italy.

Smart Travel Solutions and Accessibility Services

To enhance the travel experience, Dubai Airports is encouraging passengers to use DXB Express Maps. This digital tool provides real-time navigation across terminals. By scanning a QR code on flight information screens, travelers can quickly locate gates, dining options, and nearby facilities.

Dubai Airports has also introduced improved accessibility services. Clearly marked routes assist People of Determination (PoD), while staff members wearing Sunflower pins offer discreet support to guests with hidden disabilities. Terminal 2 features a dedicated Assisted Travel Lounge for additional convenience.

By collaborating with airlines, service providers, and government authorities, Dubai Airports aims to ensure smooth passenger flows and seamless operations during the busy holiday period.
