ESA Business School and Air France commit to sustainable development and Lebanese entrepreneurship

ESA Business School (ESA) and Air France KLM are pleased to announce the signing of a dual-purpose partnership: Commitment to sustainable development & Support for Lebanese entrepreneurship.

This partnership between Air France and ESA was officially established through the signing of two agreements during a ceremony held at the ESA Business School campus in Clemenceau, in the presence of:

  • Ms. Laure Daynié, Air France’s Lebanon and Levant Director
  • Mr. Maxence Duault, General Director of ESA Business School

Through this collaboration, ESA Business School commits to participating in Air France KLM’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) program, with the objective of supporting the airline in the development of sustainable fuel to reduce the environmental impact of aviation.

Air France, on the other hand, expressed its support for innovation and entrepreneurship in Lebanon by supporting SmartESA, ESA’s incubator, with the aim of actively contributing to the support of young entrepreneurs and the recovery of Lebanon.

Mr. Maxence Duault was pleased with the signing of these two agreements with Air France KLM, a longstanding partner of ESA, which translate into tangible actions that resonate with their shared values of responsibility and innovation.

Regarding the SAF program agreement, Mr. Duault stated, “ESA is proud to be among the first in Lebanon to contribute to this sustainable development program and to participate in the collective effort required to fly more sustainably.” He added that ESA’s commitment aligns fully with the “responsible actor” pillar of the School’s strategic orientation plan for 2027.

As for the second agreement, he emphasized that it highlights Air France’s commitment and interest in Lebanese youth and innovation. He expressed his gratitude to Ms. Laure Daynié and her entire team for their support to the School’s incubator, SmartESA, and its startups.

Ms. Laure Daynié also expressed her satisfaction with the signing of these two agreements with ESA, emphasizing their future-oriented nature and their focus on the youth.

Regarding the signing of the SAF agreement, she highlighted that this program allows Air France KLM to be at the forefront of the industry by offering more sustainable travel solutions. She stated: “Together, we are committed to creating a sustainable future for aviation. This commitment drives us to implement ambitious measures starting today. We are global pioneers in the development of next-generation fuels. The use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is one of the most effective measures to reduce the Air France-KLM group’s CO2 emissions.”

Regarding the agreement supporting entrepreneurship and SmartESA, ESA’s incubator, Ms. Daynié expressed her dedication to Lebanon and her pride in standing alongside Lebanese entrepreneurs and talents.
