himaya held its annual gala dinner, coinciding with its 16th anniversary, and attended by board members of the organization, its team, and its media ambassador, actress Maguy Bou Ghosn. The event also saw the presence of numerous artistic, media, cultural, and social figures. The gala took place on Thursday, the 16th of May, at “Shelter” in Hazmieh. It was hosted by media personality Nabila Awad, and featured special performances by singer Maya Diab, DJ Rodge, and the band “Iyam Al-Lira.”
The event began with a speech from the organization, delivered by its President, Mrs. Viviane Debbas, and Vice President, Mrs. Lillia Sabbagh. They welcomed the attendees and thanked the local and international partners for their support. Moreover, a special recognition was given to the team, acknowledging their fundamental role in the achievements of himaya at the national level. Since its establishment, the association has intervened in 19,436 cases of children at risk, and reached 586,160 children and caregivers through its preventive activities.
The occasion included a video in which actress Maguy Bou Ghosn emphasized the organization’s work, its impactful role in changing children’s lives, the importance of reporting violence cases, and the shared social responsibility.
