A remarkable new chapter in Lebanon’s cultural and artistic renaissance will begin on May 1st, 2025, as JAH Art Gallery officially unveils its newly constructed space in Beirut’s historic Clemenceau district. The debut will be marked by a landmark exhibition titled “The Grand Opening”—a major group show that will highlight the creative voices of both established and emerging artists from across the MENA region, alongside select pieces from the private collection of the gallery’s founder, Dr. Ayman Badreddine.
More than the opening of a new gallery, this event signifies the birth of a bold, inclusive platform—one that is deeply rooted in the cultural legacy of the Arab world, while remaining in open dialogue with global contemporary art practices.
A Visionary Statement: “A Home for Art, a Space for All”
In a heartfelt message, Dr. Ayman Badreddine, cultural advocate and longtime art collector, shared the personal journey that led to the gallery’s creation:
“It is with immense joy and heartfelt purpose that I announce the opening of my art gallery—an intimate, open space born from a lifelong passion for art, particularly paintings and sculpture,” says Dr. Badreddine. “This gallery is more than a venue for displaying beautiful works; it is a sanctuary for stories, emotions, and ideas.”
Inspired from a young age by the emotional depth of visual art, Dr. Badreddine’s journey from admirer to collector was driven by curiosity, scholarship, and a desire to contribute to Lebanon’s evolving cultural identity.
“Nestled in Beirut—a city marked by struggle and renewal—this space is also a tribute to the spirit of perseverance. My hope is that JAH becomes a place where artists, thinkers, students, families, and wanderers alike can gather to celebrate creativity and engage in meaningful conversations.”
