ASBAYA Opens Its Doors in the Heart of Beirut: A Culinary Escape Rooted in Lebanese Heritage

ASBAYA, a new two-level dining destination, has officially opened in central Beirut, offering a refined yet soulful take on Lebanese cuisine. Inspired by the southern village of Hasbaya, ASBAYA blends modern elegance with rich cultural roots to create a space where food, nature, and hospitality come together.

On the ground floor, guests are welcomed into a sleek, contemporary restaurant serving ingredient-driven Lebanese dishes crafted with care and creativity. Upstairs, an open-air terrace offers a lush, landscaped setting with views over the city—a perfect backdrop for sunset dining or a leisurely evening with friends.

The concept is the brainchild of co-founder Jana Halimeh, who describes ASBAYA as “a space born out of a deep love for good food, beautiful settings, and meaningful moments.” She adds, “Whether you’re here for a quiet lunch or an evening under the stars, I hope you’ll feel the warmth and creativity that went into every detail.”

Acclaimed Lebanese architect Antoine Tabet designed the space with a focus on natural light, earthy textures, and clean, modern lines. The culinary direction is led by renowned Chef Maroun Chedid, who has developed a seasonal menu that highlights the best of Lebanon’s culinary bounty—balancing authenticity with innovation.

BRANDMINT, the agency behind ASBAYA’s visual identity, brought the brand to life with a look that’s inspired by simplicity, nature, and timeless elegance.

ASBAYA is now open for lunch and dinner. For reservations and more information https://www.instagram.com/asbayarestaurant/
