Salvatore Ferragamo reinterprets the iconic Gilio perfume, the first fragrance launched in 1960 by the House’s visionary founder, in a sophisticated contemporary fragrance that adds to the rare masterpieces included in Ferragamo’s Creations.

On October 22nd, Gilio was presented in a worldwide preview in the exclusive location of Corso Como 10 in Milan. The 120 selected guests amongst top Italian fashion and beauty magazines as well as VIP clients were welcomed by President Mr Ferruccio Ferragamo and top management of the Group.

400 pieces of this perfume will be available only in very selected stores worldwide.

Gilio is a unique bold of evocative notes. An ode to the city of Florence. A heartfelt celebration of the female universe. In this modern take on Gilio, the rare nuance of Italian Orris exuberates the scent of soft wooden accents and an elegant floral bouquet. Its pearly, powdery essence is filled with sweet Jasmine, creamy Sandalwood, early Vetiver and intense Patchouli.

Profoundly connected to the House’s passion for exquisite craftsmanship, the fragrance is also enriched with natural raw materials that evolve with the passing of time just like the House’s aesthetic vision.

The perfume’s packaging also takes its cue from the original Gilio fragrance, with the voluptuous glass shape of the flacon and the precious wooden box featuring an illustration of Palazzo Feroni.
