Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana presents its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to support the Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign, therefore Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana team geared-up to wear the pink ribbon and help increase awareness of the disease.
Breast cancer is becoming a common condition among women, especially occurring when after 40 (almost 10% of breast cancer occur in females younger than that). But with the latest developments in medical science and technology, it is being successfully conquered at a 98% survival rate. The key to this great relief is, proper diagnosis and early detection. Early detection is easy and feasible, even before you can feel a breast lump. So, we can defeat the monster (Breast Cancer) by understanding the risk factors, early diagnosis by proper clinical examination and imaging and early treatment.
The event has been conceptualized in collaboration with London Consulting Medical Center and to serve this matter, Dr. Oruba Waleed Abdelhak with her years of expertise took the opportunity to make the audience aware how to defeat the monster followed by questions and answers session. In addition, several complimentary check-ups, individual discussions and a dietician recommendations took place too for our guests, colleagues and Abu Dhabi community.
