Robinsons unveils its sophisticated Fall Winter 19 collection
Robinsons, the iconic retail landmark has launched its Fall Winter 2019 collection. Shoppers visiting Dubai Festival City Mall this month will be able to admire the store’s new artistic vision for the season, where a series of beautifully crafted sculptures act as the backdrop to the season’s biggest trends – think youthful but with a grown-up twist. Moving away from the summer’s punchy neon and striking statement pieces, Robinsons showcases minimalistic garments that exude elegance and sophistication, while sport and streetwear influences have been glamourised. Championing unexpected pairings of fabrics and colours, the collection this season is a must-have.
Presented using the overarching theme ‘Free Style’, Robinsons has created a beautiful playful setting for its clientele to enjoy as they shop the most affordable, fashionable collections, guaranteed to make them stay ahead of the fashion pack. Womenswear includes stunning evening gowns and understated cocktail dresses by renowned fashion designers such as Ingie Paris and Zac Zac Posen; one-of-a-kind jewellery from Simon Miller and this season’s “it” bags by Strathberry and Cult Gaia to name a few.
“As one of the region’s most unique retail establishments, we are delighted to be offering something new this season through our ‘Free Style’ campaign. With the latest collections from over 260 fashion brands available in-store, leading beauty brands and an ever-growing homeware collection, we truly offer something for everyone,” said Adosh Sharma, General Manager of Robinsons.
Here are the key trends to follow this Fall Winter 2019:
As the lines between streetwear and high-end design continue to blur, sports-enthused pieces take on a more glamorous aesthetic. Oversized hoodies are adorned with opulent embellishments and track tops are crafted in luxurious fabrications in jewel hues.
Key items:Embellished hoodies, winter track tops and full skirts
Second-skin items have already cemented themselves as wardrobe staples but for FW19, bold and bright colours will drive newness. Luxe rayons take on sheen-like sportswear qualities, while semi-sheers prove great for layering items.
Key items:Rib knits, slim-fit trousers and high-waist jeans
As 1980s influences continue to permeate the womenswear market, tailoring takes on bolder silhouettes. Fused with active inspirations, strong-shouldered blazers are styled with shorts and heels for a new take on occasion dressing.
Ruching continues to evolve for FW19 via active inspirations. Adjustable drawstring panels are carefully placed to create subtle definition or added to the hems of crisp shirting for a sporty touch.
Key items:Balloon-sleeved ruched T-shirts
Traditional checks are refreshed for FW19 via new colourways. Heritage items such as the kilts and pinafores return, while experimenting with mismatched patterns keep head-to-toe looks current.
Key items:Straight-leg trousers, pleated skirts and knitted sweaters
