The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class Takes Center Stage at Dubai International Motor Show
The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class attracts the crowds at the Dubai International Motor Show this week, with an impressive new look. Focusing on safety, the new model features new driver assistance systems, front-end design, exterior colour choices, updated interior and trim options.
With its focus on safety, the new V-Class features optional Active Brake Assist that can recognise the risk of collision with a vehicle ahead, giving an initial visual and acoustic signal. In addition, the Active Brake Assist can break autonomously up to standstill, if the driver does not react independently and adequately. A new safety feature is the optional Highbeam Assist Plus which, in the event of vehicles in front or oncoming traffic, partially deactivates the LEDs of the main beam. This creates a U-shaped cut-out in the cone of light, to avoid dazzling other road users. The standard ATTENTION ASSIST can also detect when drivers start to become drowsy, prompting them to take a break when needed.
The new V-Class has a stronger visual presence courtesy of a new bumper design. AVANTGARDE and EXCLUSIVE lines are still available, while an AMG line is offered, featuring a new diamond radiator grille with chrome pins. New paint colours are available, as well as four new light-alloy wheel designs, ranging from 17-inch to 19-inch.
Inside, six different upholsteries in light and dark colours are available. The trim elements in the piano lacquer, ebony wood, carbon fibre, brushed aluminium remain and twin-stripe can all deliver a modern and elegant look to the instrument panel and the side paneling. In the rear, premium luxury seats are optionally available for the first rear row, offering a fully reclining function, back massage and climatization.
