Throughout the month of March, Sumosan Celebrates Women with curated Geisha-Inspired Beverages and a Feminine Decadent Dessert

Sumosan, the award-winning Japanese restaurant, is celebrated women all month long by launching a special collection of beverages and desserts throughout the month of March. Curated by Sumosan’s very own, the beverage collection is designed to represent the art of the geisha profession as a woman of power, while still being feminine and subtle.

The first cocktail and mocktail in the collection is inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, one of the most famous geishas in Japan. It is priced at AED 75 and is made with Martini Bianca, Martini extra Dry, Coconut thyme pineapple Cordial, Yuzu Tonic, and a Cotton Candy garnish. The Iwasaki Mocktail is priced at AED 40 and includes Coconut thyme pineapple cordial, Yuzu Tonic, and a Marshmallow garnish.

The remaining two cocktails will be revealed on Sumosan’s social media channels, so stay tuned for more information.

“Geishas are the ultimate power women in Japanese society, and we wanted to celebrate their artistry and strength with our beverage collection,” said Mar, the leading lady of the Sumosan bar. “Each drink is designed to be both feminine and subtle, and we hope that our guests will enjoy the unique flavours and textures that we’ve created”, she added.

In addition to the geisha-inspired beverage collection, Sumosan is also introducing a special dessert, priced at AED 60. The Yuzu Tart features slow-cooked strawberry and yuzu cream with French meringue and hot chocolate poured tableside, making for a decadent and unforgettable experience.

The International Women’s Month geisha-inspired beverage and dessert collection is available at Sumosan’s Dubai location at the Dubai EDITION Hotel throughout the month of March:

Mineko Cocktail (Martinin Bianca, Martini extra Dry, Coconut thyme pineapple Cordial, Yuzu Tonic, Cotton Candy garnish) – 75 AED

Iwasaki Mocktail (Coconut thyme pineapple cordial, Yuzu Tonic, Marshmallow garnish) – 40 AED

Yuzu Tart – 60 AED
