Virtual reunion with the artists of Speculative Landscapes

The NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Art Gallery recently announced the launch of its first-ever digital archive TRACE: Archives and ReunionsTRACE: Archives and Reunions is a series of ten virtual events and archive releases that will enable viewers to digitally explore each of The NYUAD Art Gallery’s past exhibitions every two weeks over the course of the summer.

The first virtual reunion of the series, TracingSpeculative Landscapes, will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, May 19 at 9pm. The reunion will welcome all four UAE-based artists of Speculative Landscapes; these include Areej Kaoud, Ayman Zedani, Jumairy, and Raja’a Khalid. During the conversation, which will be moderated by the Executive Director of The NYUAD Art Gallery and the exhibition’s curator Maya Allison, the artists and curator will talk about where they are now – literally and metaphorically – and how they are experiencing this new era.
