The Artist in Hotel Residence program is a initiative of 25hours Hotels that invites artists to stay at their properties around the world for a certain period, during which they create an art piece that becomes a permanent part of their collection.

This year, 25hours Hotel One Central partnered with WAD to host a joint Artist in Residence program, building on the success of the fair launching its own Artist in Residence initiative in 2023 and supporting the curation of artists for the program. Alex Lanier, who exhibited his work at the 2024 edition of WAD, was chosen due to his impactful presence and unique identity, as well as his significant contribution to the art scene. This collaboration brings together a shared vision of supporting and nurturing artistic talent, creating a space where creativity can flourish.
