NORWEGIAN SEAFOOD COUNCIL WELCOMES MINISTER COUNSELLOR TO GULFOOD 2024 STAND

The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) returned to Gulfood 2024 following its contribution to last year’s installment, which saw the group mark 25 years as a supplier of Norwegian seafood to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This year, the NSC celebrated record exports, with more than 20,400 metric tonnes of seafood – valued at over 1.8 million NOK – being delivered to markets in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. An uptick in demand for fresh, premium seafood has resulted in tremendous growth across regional markets, with consumers increasingly valuing Norwegian origin and quality.

In response to its achievements, the group welcomed Trond H. Glomnes Rudi, the Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, to its stand at Gulfood. The minister’s attendance further highlights NSC’s expanding presence in the UAE and KSA, as the group continues to drive exposure of Norwegian seafood within the global F&B ecosystem.
