The “Rolling Half” Marathon

LAU Medical Centers – Rizk Hospital and Saint John’s Hospital were the exclusive medical providers for the Beirut Marathon Association’s race, The Rolling Half, which took place on March 3rd, 2024.

Over 800 runners took on the challenging 21.1 KM race, which started at Selaata Stadium and ended at the Jbeil port. LAU Medical Centers’ medical team showed unwavering dedication and competence as they supported the runners.

Throughout the entire race, LAU Medical Centers’ medical team played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the participants. Stationed at the finish line at the Jbeil port, the medical team were available to provide immediate assistance to any runner in need. More than 16 runners needed medical attention during the race, and the medical teams’ prompt attention and responsiveness were crucial in helping them.

In addition to showing the dedication and perseverance of the participating runners, The Rolling Half brought attention to the crucial role that both LAU Medical Centers’ played in supporting the community. The success of the race and the assistance provided by the medical team at LAU Medical Centers – Rizk Hospital and Saint John’s Hospital underscore the hospital’s commitment to health and in supporting fitness initiatives.
