Al Khawaneej Walk offers free expert advice and prevention insights to raise breast cancer awareness among mallgoers

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Al Khawaneej Walk is offering visitors free access to medical experts to learn all about breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment from 21 October until 24 October, from 6:00-9:00pm daily.

Hosted in partnership with American Hospital Al Khawaneej Clinic and Dubai Ambulance, the initiative will see medical professionals, including Ahmed Kaskass, a Clinical Educator for Oncology Services, two of the clinic’s nurses, and two Dubai Ambulance paramedics, who will be stationed out by the bridge, to raise awareness and educate visitors about breast cancer, its prevalence, and gain insights on screening, diagnosis, and prevention, given that it’s considered the second leading cause of cancer-related death in women globally.

For immediate breast cancer risk assessment, visitors can scan a QR code and complete a short questionnaire, considering family history, personal medical records, and health insights. This provides a personalised risk assessment, offering guidance on preventive measures and actionable advice on the next steps, including regular mammogram testing. Additionally, visitors will receive 50% off breast cancer screening at American Hospital Clinic – Al Khawaneej, located in the mall, along with complimentary giveaways from Life Pharmacy.
