Celebrate Burns Night in Grand Scottish Style at the Iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel in Dubai

The legendary Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel, a marvel built on the banks of the famous Clyde, is set to host an unforgettable Burns Night celebration on Friday 24 January 2025. This spectacular event will be a fusion of traditional Scottish customs and lively entertainment, making it a perfect way to celebrate and honour the life and work of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns.

The evening promises a rich tapestry of Scottish heritage, featuring the pipers of the Dubai Pipe Band and the sensational Dubai based band Sandstorm. Guests will enjoy an elegant three-course dinner accompanied by traditional Burns poetry, followed by a lively Ceilidh after dinner.

Hosting the evening will be Tom Urquhart, Dubai 103.8’s resident Scotsman with an English accent, who will captivate the audience with his engaging recitations of Burns poetry.

Adding to the enchantment of the evening, the Dubai Pipe Band will grace the occasion with their stirring bagpipes. Their captivating performance promises to evoke the spirit of Scotland and honor the legacy of Robert Burns in a truly authentic manner.

After the dinner, there will be energetic Ceilidh dancing to the sound of Sandstorm, lead by Dubai’s own Miriam Willmott-Powell – and whether you’re a seasoned dancer or new to the ceilidh scene, the band’s spirited performance will have you up on your feet, swirling, twirling and reeling in no time!

* Seating: Seating will be in Tables of 10, if your booking is for less than 10, you will be seated with others, so please mention your hosts name or you will be seated with others.

* Dress Code: Black Tie, Scottish National Dress or Emirati National Dress

* Tickets and Price: AED 575 pp (Early Bird – AED 545), including a complete package of dining, entertainment, and cultural celebration. After 11 pm, a pay bar will be available, extending the festivities late into the night.

* The 3-hour package is inclusive of 3-course meal dinner, wine, beer & house spirits.
