InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is thrilled to unveil its festive programme for December 2024, promising a magical holiday experience on the island of Maamunagau. The festivities will focus on the theme of ‘elements’—earth, air, fire, and water— encouraging guests to enhance their well-being, appreciate their surroundings, and value human connections.
The resort will welcome seascape artist Nina Brooke back from 28 December 2024 to 9 January 2025. Guests can enjoy art classes, individual commissions, and a curated exhibition of Brooke’s Maldivian seascapes. Children’s entertainers Sharky & George will also return to the Planet Trekkers Kids Club, providing imaginative and dynamic activities.
Michelin-starred chef Thanos Feskos will join the resort in December 29 to 30, 2024 and January 05 to 07, 2025, presenting a 12-stage menu that combines fermentation and Scandinavian preservation techniques. The resort’s chefs will also offer themed menus and cooking classes highlighting global delicacies.
Wellness practitioner Yoko Kawaguchi will provide personalized therapy treatments between November 26, 2024, to January 26, 2025, including auriculotherapy, Usui Reiki, and aromatherapy. The AVI Spa will feature new therapies such as gemstone facials and mixed berry body scrubs.
Tailored ‘Family Energy’ mindfulness sessions and wellness journeys like ‘De-Stress’ and ‘Sleep Well’ will be available.
Festivities will include performances by Jazubea-T The Band and DJ Jesse Santos, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and surprise visits from Father Christmas. Christmas Eve will feature cocktails and a globally inspired-dinner. New Year’s Eve will be celebrated with live music, performances, and an ‘Elements Celebration’ on the beach, culminating in a fireworks display.
The resort offers a ‘Festive Season Limited Offer’ on stays booked from 07 August 2024 to 31 August 2024. Guests booking five nights or more will receive a 25% Discount on accommodation, shared seaplane transfers and Christmas Gala Dinner and New Year Gala Dinner supplements. Rates start from USD 3000++ per night in a Water Pool Villa, including breakfast for two in December 2024.
