Experience the Rich Culinary Heritage and Health Perks of Salmon: A New Series by the Norwegian Seafood Council

The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) today released a new video series, developed in partnership with creative and experienced chefs, that showcases Norway’s culinary heritage and the health benefits of Norwegian salmon.

The video series is part of the NSC’s on-going efforts to continue to grow the volume of its country’s salmon in key markets and raise awareness of the popular seafood product. The video series highlights the health and nutritional benefits of salmon, while also showcasing the vibrant culinary traditions and cultural richness of Norway.

A group of chefs including Salam Daqqaq, Ali Sayed, Tamam and Bilal Louna, are featured in this series, who all share distinctive recipes influenced by their childhood recollections and the culinary heritage of Norway. Renowned for its abundance in essential fatty acids and proteins, Norwegian salmon serves as a nutritious and delicious culinary option.

The videos can be viewed on NSC’s official social media platforms on Instagram. The Council hopes the engaging video can help encourage viewers to experiment with new and nutritious recipes in their own kitchens.

Ingelill Jacobsen, responsible for the Middle East of NSC, said: “We believe in the transformative power of culinary art to encapsulate culture and heritage. Our aim is to offer innovative culinary journeys that showcase our rich Norwegian food heritage in a captivating and enjoyable manner for all.

“With our new series, we aim to share these enchanting moments with you, where the aroma of tradition blends with the essence of the present in every recipe we present. Preparing Norwegian salmon can become an indispensable part of your culinary experiences and cherished moments in the kitchen.”
