Family Development Foundation enhances media skills through ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative

The Family Development Foundation (FDF) launched the training program under its ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative across all regions, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. This move aligns with the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to fostering skilled media professionals by integrating talents into society and leveraging their capabilities for personal growth as well as the advancement of their families and communities.

In Al Ain, the Foundation hosted a two-day event featuring various societal and media-related programs. These events, which included the participation of 30 children, were conducted by members of the ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative. Among these events was the ‘Quality of Digital Life’ awareness program aimed to highlight the significance of efficient time management, foster ethical values in the digital realm, ensure online safety, and improve skills needed to enhance the quality of digital life.

Furthermore, members of the ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative presented the ‘Let’s Read Together’ program, with the goal of instilling the value of reading among participants. The key objective of the program was to nurture a generation with robust reading skills, encourage the preservation of the Arabic language among children, and emphasize the vast influence of reading on individuals and society. Additionally, the program aimed to showcase storytelling capabilities and convert them into theatrical performances created by the young participants.

Fatima Rashed Al Dhanhani, a newspaper editor at FDF and initiative facilitator, conducted a number of media courses and workshops. These programs were curated to improve personal skills in presentation, casting, and acting. Furthermore, the ‘Appearance and Influence, Scriptwriting, and Theatrical Performance’ workshop focused on training participants to convert stories or novels into compelling scenes that raise social awareness.

She said: “The key objective of the initiative is to cultivate skills in managing self-media. This year’s event focuses on a wide array of factors, including boosting self-confidence, honing influential and persuasive skills, teaching basic scriptwriting techniques, and developing the skill of theatrical scriptwriting. Besides, it highlighted the concept of musical or theatrical presentation, underscored the influence of musical lyrics on performances, and analyzed the relevance of sound in theatrical presentations. The programs also focused on the art of acting and its practical applications.”
