Global Leaders to Gather in Nairobi for the 2025 Annual Policy Dialogue on Financing for Sustainable Development
The Annual Policy Dialogue 2025 (APD25) on Financing for Sustainable Development, titled “Driving Sustainable Futures for All” and organised by Club de Madrid, will convene former heads of state and government, international institutions, policymakers, civil society leaders, and experts on April 3–4, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya. As a high-level, action-oriented event, APD25 aims to shape and advocate for urgent reforms in global financial governance to ensure a more inclusive, transparent, and accountable international financial system.
Sustainable finance is the cornerstone of global development, yet the world faces increasing challenges in mobilising resources for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). APD25 will generate concrete recommendations to address taxation, debt relief, and financial system reforms. These proposals will be strategically amplified at key global milestones throughout 2025, including the G20, IMF & World Bank Meetings, and the 4th International Conference on
Financing for Development (FfD4).
Taking place at the United Nations Compound in Nairobi, APD25 will provide a multilateral platform where decision-makers and experts collaborate on practical solutions for sustainable financing. Through high-level dialogues, panel discussions, and strategic advocacy, the event will drive forward key financial reforms to shape the future of the global economy.
