More than 9 billion Lebanese Pounds from Spinneys Customers to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon

The “In it to win it” campaign garnered immense support and inspired change in the lives of the Center’s Children

Spinneys customers have once again proven their love for generosity and humanitarianism by working together, as a team, to support the “In it to win it” collaborative campaign between Spinneys and the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon and instill a positive impact on society. This was achieved by countless donations to all of the Spinneys branches over the course of 20 days that resulted in a major success, raising more than 9 billion LBP. The representatives at CCCL received the donation sum from Spinneys upon a celebratory reunion with the sports athletes with exciting activities to cheer up the children.

In terms of generosity and empathy, Lebanese people are known to give it their all. United by the animated desire to foster change and make a difference in the lives and healing journey of the children, customers of all financial situations were empowered to donate as much as they can to the cause. In addition to that, social media influencers were especially supportive. Using their platforms as a way to spread this humanitarian message by sharing the promotional video featuring various athletes and children from the center, people were further encouraged to donate.

Moreover, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and the General Manager of the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, acquired the generous amount and expressed her gratitude to all those who organized and participated in the campaign. She said “ We were very confident that the benevolent people will heed our call this time again, despite the difficult circumstances that our country faces at this time, because the love of giving will overcome all the obstacles and seeing the smile on our children’s faces is something all Lebanese people aspire to see”. She also added, “Many thanks to Spinneys as well for continuously supporting the message of the Children’s Cancer Center. We are also grateful for its ever-present effort to provide a future for them. We look forward to working on future campaigns that plant hope in the hearts of our children.”

From his side, the Chief Marketing officer at Spinneys, Ralph el Kahi, said, “Our hands will always remain extended to support the mission of the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, and we will stay committed to our society by launching various humanitarian initiatives as per our social duty.” He then added, “we salute our customers and thank them for their constant trust in the campaigns we organize and for their humanitarian spirit that does not deter them from participating every time.”

This campaign is one of the countless initiatives launched by Spinneys to assume their social responsibility and uplift our community. As a result of this fruitful collaboration, the children of the Cancer Center are on the path towards a better tomorrow filled with health and hope.
