In an exclusive invite-only event, the collection was recently launched at the ThinkSmart Hub in Al Quoz, Dubai with media and socialites in attendance.
Rasha Abu Hamzeh’s Root brand is an eclectic mix of art influences on luxurious fabrics displayed in 16 unique silhouettes. From trousers and dresses to coordinated sets; she seamlessly blends culturally inspired yet contemporary trends to offer confidence and panache to modern women. Striking a fine balance between appealing colors and comfortable fabrics; the collection focuses on whites, purples, and greens along with soothing shades of blue on cotton, silks, jacquards, and crapes. Despite being tailored to be described as statement-making fashion wear for empowered women; Rasha maintains cultural appropriation.
Speaking of her debut, Rasha Abu Hamzeh said; “Beginning as a social media content creator, and entrepreneur to now as a fashion designer; my creative streak found wings in Dubai’s electrifying atmosphere. Not only did I receive immense support and followers as an influencer here but the conducive environment also saw me study fashion. If I have to describe myself as an artist expressing in various forms; then I owe it all to Dubai for helping me soar and conquer new avenues. With the unveiling of Root Collection, I hand over to you the soft power of fashion, for women who want to be known as ‘dressed to make an impression’.”
