Rixos The Palm Dubai Champions Inclusive Hiring through Expert-Led Neurodiversity Seminar by IBCCES

Renowned for its guest-centric and tailored experiences, Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites continuously works to make world-class hospitality accessible to every guest. Now expanding its efforts, this family-friendly haven is set to welcome 60 HR professionals to an educational seminar on supporting neurodiverse talent in the workplace. Taking place on May 1st, the event will explore how inclusive hiring practices and supportive environments can empower neurodivergent individuals to thrive within the hospitality industry. Seamlessly aligned with Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites’ vision of creating more inclusive guest and workplace experiences, IBCCES (the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) is a global leader in autism and neurodiversity training and certification. For over two decades, the organisation has trained professionals across education, healthcare, corporate, and hospitality sectors with the tools to better understand and support individuals with cognitive differences. Their evidence-based programmes are developed in collaboration with experts, industry leaders, and neurodivergent individuals to ensure real-world relevance and meaningful impact.

Beginning at 10:00am on May 1st, the executive workshop will explore actionable strategies for supporting neurodivergent talent in the workplace. Covering inclusive hiring and retention practices, real-world success stories, and the role of neurodiversity in driving innovation and growth, the session offers practical tools for HR leaders. Attendees will also have the chance to connect over coffee with fellow professionals and meet Meredith Tekin, President of IBCCES, who will be present on the day.

This initiative builds on Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites’ ongoing efforts to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests, and now extends that same focus to its team. The property recently achieved Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) status, marking a meaningful step towards enhancing accessibility across the resort. Thoughtful touches include sensory-friendly toys at the Rixy Kids Club and low-sensory seating areas in calming corners of Toro Loco, L’Olivo’s Gold Room, the spa lounge, and the reception area, offering peaceful spaces to relax and recharge.

Sharing his excitement for the upcoming event, General Manager of Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites, Murat Zorlu, said, ‘At Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites, we believe hospitality is about making every individual feel seen, supported, and valued. Hosting this seminar allows us to bring the industry together to have impactful conversations about neurodiversity and to explore how we can build a more inclusive future for hospitality, where everyone has the opportunity to shine.’

With the global spotlight increasingly turning toward inclusion, this seminar with IBCCES marks a timely and essential conversation for the region’s HR professionals. In an industry built on understanding, connection, and care, Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites sets a powerful example, showing that embracing neurodiverse talent isn’t just about fairness, but about enriching the workplace with fresh perspectives and unique strengths that elevate the guest experience.
