The Blue Box Café Celebrates Emirati Women’s Day with an Exclusive Afternoon Tea Collaboration with Chef Sahar Al Awadhi

In honor of Emirati Women’s Day, the Blue Box Café announces an exclusive collaboration with the first Emirati pastry chef, Chef Sahar Al Awadhi. From August 28th to September 4th, guests are invited to experience a bespoke Afternoon Tea, thoughtfully curated to celebrate the spirit and achievements of Emirati women.

Chef Sahar, renowned for her innovative approach to traditional flavors, has crafted a menu that harmoniously blends Emirati culinary heritage with contemporary finesse. The afternoon tea offers a delightful selection of both savory and sweet treats, reflecting the richness of local ingredients and the artistry of fine patisserie.

The savory selection features a refreshing Cucumber Mint with Thai basil and a Vegan Foie Gras Tartlet complemented by Arabic Coffee Pate and Date Chutney. The delicate Gabgoob highlights a blend of finger lime, black lime, and black pepper crab. Scones take a vibrant turn with Sumak Barberry, served with Sumac Strawberry Jam, Grapefruit Curd, and Clotted Cream. The sweet offerings include Chouxgaimat filled with spiced custard and date syrup, alongside the traditional Rangeena with candied walnuts. The Lemon Cajeta blends camel milk, hazelnut, and lemon curd into a delightful treat, while the plated Rose Melon brings a refreshing finish with compressed melon and yuzu.
