Lavazza, the renowned Italian coffee company, hosted a thrilling National Finals of the UAE Barista Challenge 2024 on 15th November at the Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Dubai Marina.
This year, 12 participants were challenged to create their unique Barista Signature recipes, showcasing their inventiveness, skill, and deep understanding of coffee’s potential. The finalists’s performances were assessed by a distinguished panel of technical and sensory judges, who evaluated the organization, technical skills, taste, presentation, and overall creativity of each recipe.
Milos Brankovan from Al Bareed Cafe claimed victory at the National Finals with his exceptional Humecoco recipe—an innovative coconut-based espresso creation featuring the premium La Reserva de Tierra Humeco Bio-Organic blend, a superior Arabica-Robusta combination.
The Lavazza UAE Barista Challenge has solidified its place as a cornerstone of the nation’s thriving coffee culture, spotlighting the UAE’s top talent and promoting a spirit of innovation and excellence that reverberates globally.
