ABU DHABI ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY ACHIEVES 2 MILESTONES AT SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

Abu Dhabi Entertainment Company (ADEC), a leading sport, leisure, and entertainment company, achieved two milestones at# the Sport Industry Awards held at Atlantis, The Palm on 9 May. For the first time, a single company dominated the top spots in the Best Sports & Recreation Facility category, with ADEC-managed Zayed Sports City taking gold as ACTIVE Al Maryah Island earned its first accolade, a silver trophy. Zayed Sports City reached a milestone 10th win in the category, retaining its streak as the most-awarded venue.

 “These milestones represent ADECs enduring and increasing commitment to our community, and we are proud that Zayed Sports City, ACTIVE Al Maryah Island, and our incredible team have been recognized for outstanding efforts over the past year,” said Noura Al Hammadi, General Manager of ADEC. “We are proud to be a leader in this industry and setting high standards that allow people of all ages to participate in sports, recreation, and healthy lifestyle.”

 The Sport Industry Awards are dedicated to celebrating excellence in the realm of sports within the region. It acknowledges and honors leaders, decision-makers, organizations, facilities, and campaigns that have made significant contributions to the advancement of sports. Out of more than 400 submissions, 75 nominees were named across 13 categories in the 2024 edition. The category of Best Sport & Recreation Facility considers proof of excellence in service, provision of high-quality facilities, community engagement and a contribution to sport development and healthy lifestyle.
